If you are trying to export the data from your Google Analytics reports, you may be struggling to find the link. It is hiding behind the Share icon.
Where to find the Download link in Google Analytics
The format of that data, though, is really not very useful. All the dates are replaced with text values for ‘Nth day’, ‘Nth week’ or ‘Nth month’. Plus, all the charts on the page are stacked one above the other. This is not something you can build any kind of report automation with.
Analytics Edge has been working with the Google Analytics APIs since 2014, and has created a number of no-programming tools to make Google Analytics report automation fast and simple.
Analytics Edge Add-in for Excel
For Microsoft Excel users on Windows computers, this integrated add-in lets you quickly get report-ready data from a variety of sources. There are no account or row limits, no formulas, no programming, and you don’t need any knowledge of the API. Simple wizards get the job done fast, and refresh even faster, so you never have to copy-and-paste again!
Analytics Edge Desktop App
This standalone application runs on Windows and MacOS computers, and it works with both Excel and Google Sheets files. It has all the same capabilities, but runs as an independant application.
AE Exporter GA4
If you just want the data to be imported into another application or database, the AE Exporter series gives you the same simple wizard interface and query capability, but it writes to comma- or tab-separated files. They can be refreshed interactively, on schedule, or via a command line.
Export Google Analytics Data
All three products make it easy to get your data in a format that is immediately useful, eliminating countless hours copying and modifying data to meet your needs. One click refreshes all the queries in the workbook — reporting day is reduced to a couple of minutes!
